10,000 Degrees understands setting a college-going mindset starts early. They work directly with local elementary and middle school students to help make sure they can envision a pathway to college. They deliver the following real-world, interactive support to encourage the next generation to embrace their futures and make their college dreams come true.
Ryan has served on the Young Professionals Council to help mentor scholars, raise money, and assess applicants. Ryan also organizes the 10,000 Degrees annual art auction, which raised enough money to provide two Bay area students with 4-year college scholarships in 2019. He also served on the planning committee for their yearly Gala, where over $1M is raised.
Ryan has been a mentor with Big Brothers and Sisters for over 10 years, during which time he has mentored a Little Brother named Alexio.
Founded in 1985, Project Open Hand is a nonprofit organization that provides meals with love to critically ill neighbors and seniors. Our food is like medicine, helping clients recover from illness, get stronger, and lead healthier lives.
Every day, we prepare 2,500 nutritious meals and provide 200 bags of healthy groceries to help sustain our clients as they battle serious illnesses, isolation, or the health challenges of aging. We serve San Francisco Oakland, engaging more than 125 volunteers daily to nourish our community.

Ryan helped lead efforts to raise money For the Treasure Cay Community Foundation, which benefited those affected by the tragedy of Hurricane Dorian in the Abacos Islands in The Bahamas with help of. Many of those affected spend their lives helping and assisting others, so it was time that we stood up to help and assist them in their greatest moment of need. With the help of countless generous individuals, many of whom unknown, we were able to raise over $235,000 on a GoFundMe campaign.
